Involvement in your child's education takes many forms.
Several of which you are probably already doing:
•Attend parent-teacher conferences with specific
questions you want to ask.
•Meet your child's friends and get to know their
parents.
•View selected TV programs together and then discuss
them.
•Respond to school surveys/questionnaires on the
effectiveness of volunteer programs.
•Become part of a school-based managment team with
teachers and the principal.
•Talk with employers about holding parent meetings
or parenting workshops on-site.
